Harsh Virag is a versatile cinematographer, writer, and director with over 17 years of professional experience in the film and media industry and more than 7 years as an academician. A Bachelor in Cinematography, MFA in Filmmaking, and currently pursuing his PhD in Filmmaking, he combines academic depth with creative expertise, making him a mentor who bridges theory with practical craft. His work as a cinematographer has been widely recognized, with several of his films winning accolades at both national and international film festivals. Notably, he served as Second Unit and Associate Cinematographer for the critically acclaimed film Fouja, which won three National Awards in 2024, underscoring his ability to contribute to projects of the highest caliber. At AAFT, Harsh trains aspiring filmmakers in the art and science of cinematography, emphasizing visual storytelling, camera craft, and aesthetic precision. His passion for teaching, combined with his award-winning professional experience, continues to inspire students to explore the limitless possibilities of cinema.
