Sonam Pathan is an independent filmmaker and producer. After completing her graduation in architecture from the University of Pune, she studied filmmaking from FTI, Itanagar - an extended campus of Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata (SRFTI).

For the past 5 years, she has been writing, directing, producing, and editing short fiction films, music videos, ad films, and commercial videos. Her specializations include direction, camera, and screenwriting. She has also conducted workshops for students on camera and editing.

Her works include – Mourya Re (2016), The Chase (2017), Ajin Paku - Let’s be friends (2018), Khoj (2018), and Aza (2019) that have been recognized and awarded at many international and national film festivals.
